We have been very busy over the past few weeks. We had our 3rd annual open house on November 26th. Thank you to all who came to shop and enjoy cookies and cider.
December 3rd was Blairsville's Light up night. We participated in the town wide cookie walk. We had so much fun seeing some familiar faces and meeting new people as well.

Take a look at few of our displays for this year. There is still time and plenty of items to complete your Christmas shopping list!!

Just putting this reminder out there. If you need something special made for Christmas NOW IS THE TIME! Please, please, please remember that our items are handmade. Whether it's an afghan or adorable blanket like these....
or small gifts like these...or our soaps, lotions, candles, and festive stocking stuffers. These items all take time. We will post a cut-off date for orders closer to the Christmas season.
Also make sure to check back in a few weeks for more info on our Holiday Open House and a Cookie Tour that will be happening around town.

I spent a lot of the past few weeks crocheting. Mostly hats, which means the hat wall is full. I have almost all sizes from 0-3 months to child available in every style. If you need a bigger size for the young at heart don't be afraid to ask!

It was a very busy day. I spent the day packing up all of my cute Easter items and redoing a few store displays. I also did the stores two main windows. Make sure you look as you're driving through.

It seems like most of last week was spent making soaps, lotions, and candles to replenish my dwindling stock. On a good note, we now have Eucalyptus & Spearmint and Monkey Farts lotion once again. Patchouli and Coconut soaps will be back on the shelves by Thursday and the empty spot on the tart wall has been refilled with Pumpkin Caramel Latte tarts. I also spent my evenings at home crocheting as usual. Saving pictures and sneak peeks of those projects for a later post. I also received another special order this week. An order that takes me out of my comfort zone, napkins and coasters. I am terrified of my sewing machine. I don't know why, I just panic. Maybe it's the horror stories of the sewing factories that several of my relatives worked in or the fact that my home economics teacher always stressed that we could possibly sew our fingers. Anyway, I put my big girl pants on and made them and here they are!

I absolutely love making things. Crochet and paper craft are among my favorites. But every once in a while I need to switch things up and make something different. A few months back I came across some old wood planks and decided to paint a few signs. I had a customer that loved them so much that she asked me to make some more.

I've decided to try a blog within our website to keep everyone informed on what's new or what we're working on for the shop. I thought I would start by posting a few of the items that we always have in stock.
Our soy candles are made right here in the shop. If you prefer a safer alternative to scenting your home we also make soy melting tarts in the same fragrances as our candles.
